Stony Creek,

Monroe Lee Lambert 79, of 2460 Stony Creek Road went to be with the Lord Friday February 17, 2017 following several months of declining health at his home with his family at his bedside

He was born in Caswell County January 6, 1938 to Gilbert and Viola Jefferson Lambert. He was well known in the sawmill community. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Grounds and Property Committee.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday February 20, 2017 at Beulah Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors are wife Lillie Ann Coley Lambert of the home, daughter Pamela L. Slaydon and husband  Steve of Pelham, two sisters Shelby Campbell and Christine Pugh, one brother Wayne Lambert, grandchildren Christopher Slaydon and wife Anna, Briena Wallace and husband John, great grandchildren Ava Slaydon and Raelyn Wallace and one special nephew Dale Lambert and wife Jennifer.  

The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at the church and other times at the residence.
