Jerry and Kyle,

I was so saddened to hear of Karen's passing. (My sister, Sherri told me yesterday.) Although I did not know Karen personally, Sherri and my mom often told me what a good and kind person she was.
I will say prayers for you both and the family.
Again, you have my deepest condolences.

Dane

To know Karen Foster Moore was to love her and she gave her love back to you. Her wedding portrait shows what a beautiful young woman she was. She retained inner and outer beauty all of her life. She had a beautiful smile, a sparkle in her pretty blue eyes, and often a giggle in her voice. She had a very happy disposition and loved to laugh often. She was one of the sweetest people that God ever put on this earth.

Through seven years of chemo, radiation, three surgeries, medication, and continuous trips to Duke Medical Center, she remained determined, positive, and brave. She didn't complain about all she had to endure, as she had faith in God and all her medical professionals.

Karen was well loved by the students she taught for 35 years. She was a wonderful, caring teacher and was respected by her fellow teachers. All lives touched by Karen were enriched by her spirit of joy and kindness. She will always live in a place of honor in our hearts and memories. Thanks be to God for letting us share precious times with her. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. Karen's husband, Jerry, did an outstanding job of being a loving and faithful companion, even in the most difficult times. She will also be missed by her son Kyle, her borthers H.B. and Larry, and many friends.

Thank you for your prayers for God's grace and support in the future for Karen's family and friends as they deal with their great loss.

By Karen's friend of 39 years who taught at the "old" Dillard Middle School with her, Patricia Reynolds Gauldin.

Jerry,
So sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time in your life. Hope it's some relief for you knowing she is in Heaven now and no longer battling cancer. I know that's the case with my Mom. It was good to see you at my Mom's funeral; sorry I could not make it to your wife's funeral. Take care.
