Mary Shelton Harrelson, age 96 passed away Sunday February 1, 2015 at the Roman Eagle Nursing and Rehab Center, following several month of declining health. She was born in Caswell County June 10, 1918 and was the daughter of George Henry Shelton and Lucy Elizabeth Shelton. She was a life time member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and was active in many church functions while she was able . She was retired from many years of textile work.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Clem B. Shelton and a sister Margaret Lee Shelton.  

Surviving are two daughters, Betty H. Reagan and husband William Irvin of Ruffin, LaRue H. Giles and husband Larry of Danville, Va. grandchildren Randy Reagan and wife Janet, Ray Reagan and wife Cathy, Kelly Sigmon and husband Bennie, Kim Garrett and husband David, and Kabrina Walton and husband Tommy.
There are also nine great grandchildren.

At her request graveside rites will be conducted by Rev. Mac McDowell at  Bethesda Presbyterian Church at Ruffin at 11 a.m. Wednesday 4, 2015.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all family and friends for the many acts of kindness and support and walked with them during this journey. We will forever be thankful for each of you. A special thank you for all the staff, nurses and each CNA for the care and support  that was given to their mother. God bless you all.

LaRue and Betty just want to let you that it was such a pleasure knowing your mother. I will miss her. She was a beautiful women. I hope that my children will love and take care me as you have. The Lord will bless you both for the love and honor you have given her.
