My dad, Foy Evans, just called and told me of Mr. Jones going to be with the Lord. When he and I visited Herbert and Mamie Lee about a year ago it was a joy to see and talk with you both and it was a time of good reminiscing the past. My prayers are with you as you go through these coming days. May the Lord give His peace and hope to you all!

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Jones. I so vividly remember the days of him as Smokey the Bear. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

I just found out about Mr. Herbert's passing, and I want Mrs. Mamie Lee, Cynthia, and Robert to know you are in my prayers. You have so many great memories to hold onto, and you had a wonderful husband and father! Just cling to those, and I pray that you will all find peace in God's presence with you! I have been travelling for the last 5 weeks, so I was not here to reach out to you...but know that you are all loved and call on me for any reason. I hope that Keith got the ramp built in time to help a bit. May God bless you all!

I am so sorry to read that Herbert is gone. He was a good man. I used to be a UPS driver. I always liked running into him around town, especially when Mamie worked at North Village Pharmacy. I remember he'd say, with a smile on his face, don't tell Mamie you saw me. He was just being mischievous and if course I'd always tell her. Back then the pharmacy was a regular stop for me. So, Mamie, I'm telling you once more where Herbert is. He is with our Lord. God bless him and God bless you.
