Bradsher “Brad” T. White, 84, was called home to his Savior on June 5, 2018. Son of the late William Bradsher White and the late Lucille Howard White, Brad was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Matherly White; his son Alan White; two brothers Meredith White and Herman White; and one sister Helen Guthrie.

Mr. White was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a devoted member of the American Legion Post #89 and Post Commander for the VFW Post #7316 for 13 years. Mr. White was a proud patriot and contributed many hours of service to both the VFW and the American Legion along with other veterans. Brad retired from the Caswell County Dept. of Social Services, where he worked as a fraud investigator for 13 years. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Mr. White was a good-humored man and had an infectious smile that could brighten any room. He was always able to make others smile or laugh, even through difficult times. Even now, after he has left the world to join with his Lord and Savior, those he has left behind remember him more with laughter than tears.

The family would like to extend sincere heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Amedisys Hospice, especially Kim Lloyd, and Brenda and Rhonda of Home Health Services, who are the sweetest and most caring people anyone could ask for.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of 38 years, Mary Watlington Martin White of the home, is his brother Wesley White of Blanch; his sister Mozelle Moorefield of Yanceyville; his son Mike White of West Palm Beach, FL; his son Steven White of Greensboro; his daughter Kim Hodge, and husband, Steve of Greensboro; 6 grandchildren: Jonathan White, Adam Hodge, Jennifer Srishord, Seth Hodge, Will White, Paul Hodge; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Community Baptist Church from 6-7:30 PM and other times at the home. Church services will be held Friday, June 8, 2018, at Community Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Adams and Pastor Sang Park. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens in Greensboro where Mr. White will be laid to rest with full military honors provided by the VFW Post #7316.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to VFW Post #7316 at P.O. Box 185 Yanceyville, NC 27379.

It is the honor of Harrelson Funeral Services to serve the White family.
