ALTON

Robbin Catherine Radcliffe Barton, 57, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Born in Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late Leon “Pat” Author Radcliffe and Janice “Tootie” Lee Smith Radcliffe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Radcliffe, Joseph Radcliffe and Mark Radcliffe; a very special Aunt Katie and Uncle Joe Deal.

Mrs. Barton was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church and attended New Life Independent Church. She was strong in her faith in her Savior Jesus Christ and studied her bible daily.

Mrs. Barton was a loving wife, mother, sister, granny and aunt. Robbin was the thread that put and held the family together. There were times that the threads got broken, but she always sewed them back together. She often gave up her needs for others’ wants. Material things did not mean anything to her and she would do without so others could have something.

Mrs. Barton is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, Chad Barton of the home; two children, Kayla Snead and husband Shawn of Scottsburg, VA and Patrick Barton of Alton, VA; two brothers, Michael Ray Radcliffe of Houston, TX and Robert Lee Radcliffe of Semora, NC; two grandchildren, Tyler Hardy Snead and Ryleigh Grace Snead; six nieces, Brooke Radcliffe, Rachel Radcliffe, Kelly Brennan, Katie Billington, Brittany Radcliffe, Christi Radcliffe; three nephews Nick Radcliffe, Logan Radcliffe and  Lee Radcliffe.

Memorial Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at New Life Independent Baptist Church, 6413 Burlington Rd., Hurdle Mills, by Pastor Mike Whitt. Interment will follow at 3PM at Poindexter Farm Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12PM until 1PM and other times at the home.

Chad and Family, I am so very sorry to hear about Robin. We did not see each other often , but could always pick up where we left off. She had a HEART OF GOLD, Especially for those less fortunate than herself!! She always made it a point to travel to Duke hospital to meet us When Sal was down there for a treatment. Robin was REAL. Always making one smile. I know she was welcomed into Heavens gates😇 with praise!! She will always be watching over her family.. You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time 🙏
