Ernest Gerald Baldwin, 66, of 7137 Old NC Hwy 86N, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Born in Pittsylvania Co., VA, he was the son of the late Ernest William Baldwin and Mamie Ann Burns.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin Burns, Tex Burns, James Baldwin and Robert Baldwin.

Mr. Baldwin was of the Baptist faith. He loved college basketball, along with many other sports. His favorite basketball team was the North Carolina Tar-Heels. In football, his favorite was the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. He was also a huge Nascar Racing fan. He pulled for Kyle Bush, and for his favorite, #43, Richard Petty.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Joyce Riggs Baldwin of the home; two daughters, Tracy Johnson of Pelham and Krystal Baldwin of Providence; two sisters, Patricia Bray and husband Charles of Reidsville and Elizabeth Lucas and husband Roberts of Danville, VA; one brother, Carrol Baldwin and wife Gail of Pelham; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Harrelson Funeral Services Chapel. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Health and Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.

Ernest fought the brave battle like a man. He is at peace, now. To, Joyce and family, my sincerest sympathies. I'll miss seeing Ernest around the area. May God comfort and keep you, in His care, during these difficult times, and always.
