Peggy Durham, 79, of Yanceyville, NC went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2020, after a brief decline in health.

Born in Saltville, VA on August 31, 1940 to the late Roscoe Earl and Fannie Mae Chapman, she lived most of her life in Danville, VA, past few years in Yanceyville, NC. She retired from Value City. She was a member of Gatewood Baptist Church in Providence, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Durham and sister Betty Cumbo and Sis Frye.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy McDuffie (Neal Jr.) of Yanceyville, NC; grandson, Brandon McDuffie (Alyssa) of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Carrie Ann McDuffie of Yanceyville, NC; and sisters, Patsy Smith, Sue Pinkelton, and Linda Johnson.

The family will be receiving friends from 6PM until 7:30 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Harrelson Funeral Services Chapel, 143 Third Ave, Yanceyville, NC. Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Community Baptist Church, 3050 Old NC Hwy 86, Yanceyville, NC with Pastor Adrian Moore officiating.

Pallbearers will be Neal McDuffie, Sr., David Underwood, Kyle Underwood, Brandon McDuffie, Shaun Boyd and Holden Mangrum.

Harrelson Funeral Services of Yanceyville, NC is privileged to be serving the Durham family.

Dear Kathy,
I am so sorry to hear of Peggy's passing....please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Billy and Peggy and you were such blessings in our lives especially our years at Edmonds Street Church during the time when Courtney was little. She LOVED spending time with yall. We all made some very precious memories during those years!! We love you,

I am so sorry Kathy for the loss of your mother..Aunt Peggy was a wonderful lady and Heaven gained another beautiful angel through it's pearly gates to sit beside Jesus at his throne..

Such a sweet woman. We had wonderful times at First Church of the Living God on Edmonds Street , Danville Va. I know she's in Heaven with all her loved ones.
