Sylvia Crowder Williamson, 73, of Yanceyville, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Crowder, Sr. and Irene Irby Crowder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother, Robert Crowder, Jr. and nephew, Johnny Williamson. Sylvia loved to cook and take care of her family. She was to say the least a faithful wife that helped her husband Vernon with farming tobacco and raising cows and stuck with him through thick and thin. She retired from North Village Pharmacy with over 44 years of service.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Vernon Williamson of the home; two sons, Michael Williamson and wife Katina of Yanceyville and Brian Williamson and wife Melissa of Yanceyville; four grandchildren, Jordan Squires and wife Kim of Holly Springs, Bryzon Williamson of Yanceyville, Brooke Williamson of Yanceyville and Jordan Schoolfield of Yanceyville; three great grandchildren, Lincoln Squires, Nolan Squires and Karson Schoolfield; two nieces, Tracy Wright and husband Marty and Pam Crowder; one nephew, Troy Crowder; and brother-in-law John Williamson and wife Diane of Leasburg.

Graveside Rites will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Union UMC Cemetery in Leasburg by Pastor Richard Rorrer and Vernon Massengill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Union UMC or the Cemetery Fund.

To Vernon Williamson and Family

My son Eric let me know over the weekend about Sylvia's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Sylvia was a very good friend of mine and I was proud to work with her at North Village. Eric still remembers all those Easter baskets that Sylvia made.

Our prayers are with you.

With love
Tommy and Belinda Hawkins
